Excellent service, and probably the best miso soup I had. The server said that the city Minemura, Japan is known for it. BC roll and salmon maki were amazing.

I’ve been here 6 or so times in the past few months, and I’ve never been disappointed. The people are extremely friendly, the food is always fresh and delicious. This is my go-to sushi place in North Van, the price is super reasonable as well.

I ordered some basic rolls, but it hit the spot! I like the portion of rice they used for the rolls and the service was really speedy. Also got a complementary nigiri which was a nice surprise! Would order here again.

Finally found our go-to in LoLo... Unafraid to share my glowing review, because it’s such a brutal world for good restaurants out here. Photos have a couple pieces eaten.. we couldn’t wait! We walked in at 6pm right before the rush. There’s inside seating for maybe 24 people inside, and a couple tables outside. The inside decor is more casual and homey than slick and refined, so you know you’re paying for taste and the chefs’ skills rather than flash. And the prices were solid - we stuffed ourselves silly for 80 total after tip. The server was very friendly and welcoming, even while we had to ask her to correct the order, and our food arrived in less time than it took for us to decide on what to order. Really loved the attention to detail, including generous and fresh salmon and tuna sashimi, right rice texture and temp, warm and crispy yam tempura along with a great variety in the veggie roll including oshinko, carrot, cuke, spinach and avo, buttery negitoro roll, and the tamago shining through in the Lady roll. The hands-down showstopper of the night was the Dancing Unagi roll. I’ve never had such meltingly-tender, lovingly-torched crisp unagi and fresh and plump shrimp tempura together in one balanced, moreish bite. Not to mention the rice to filling ratio of all the rolls was perfect. My only regret is not seeing a dessert menu.. a little cup of yuzu sorbet would have been the perfect ending!

Very good sushi at a reasonable price. Excellent service. Our lunch featured the Grous roll, with wild salmon and smoked salmon. The Red Dragon roll was even better, 2 pieces of prawn with salmon and avocado (we asked for the imitation crab to be left out and they graciously did that). And of course had to have Oshi sushi, so got the salmon. Excellent. They brought miso soup on the house and it was superb. Note: The photos show selected pieces not the entire order.

Haven't even eaten here but watched my friends have a meal. All I can say is damn it.. It's not like my chicken burger I had elsewhere was bad but in retrospect I made a huge mistake. Compounding the situation is that I don't leave nearby so I'm not sure when the next time I will get a chance to eat here. Hopefully soon. And hopefully soon again after that.
